Events & Excursions

Our ELICOS program offers a vibrant calendar of student events and excursions designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and support real-world language development.

Class Excursions

Regular class excursions provide students with the opportunity to apply their English skills in authentic, everyday contexts. Carefully planned in advance, excursions consider student schedules, accessibility, and affordability. Each month, students visit some of Sydney’s most iconic locations—such as Bondi Beach, the Sydney Opera House, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, and The Rocks—accompanied by their classmates and teachers. These experiences encourage practical communication, cultural immersion, and confidence in real-life situations.

Workshops and Themed Learning

Our monthly workshops and themed learning activities add depth and variety to the student experience. Each month explores a different cultural or topical theme, integrating language learning with broader knowledge. For example, during a recent “Greece” theme, students participated in short lectures on Greek culture and mythology, alongside interactive workshops including hands-on activities such as marble carving. These sessions promote engagement, creativity, and cross-cultural understanding.

Food and Cultural Events

Food plays a central role in cultural exchange, and our international food events are a highlight of the student calendar. Students are invited to experience Australian cuisine while also sharing traditional dishes from their own cultures. These events foster community, celebrate diversity, and provide meaningful opportunities for social interaction and language practice. All food events are proudly supported by the college.

Your direct pathway to Higher Education

At KOIC we are committed to providing students with clear and structured pathways to higher education. Our Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications are designed not only to equip students with industry-ready skills but also to provide opportunities for further academic progression.

Through our partnership with higher education provider, King’s Own Institute (KOI), KOIC graduates who complete a Diploma or Advanced Diploma may receive credit exemptions when enrolling in relevant undergraduate degree programs at KOI.

This seamless articulation agreement allows students to transition smoothly from vocational training to higher education, saving both time and tuition costs while advancing their careers.

Additionally, students completing our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course can meet the English language requirements for direct entry into KOI’s degree programs, eliminating the need for additional English proficiency tests.

With industry-aligned qualifications and strong academic partnerships, AAC ensures that students have the support and opportunities to achieve their long-term education and career goals.
